Defies expectations

I have not had great success with my previous apartment complexes. Usually management is great, or the location is great, or the price is great, but they are never all great at the same time. The Belmont is different. It has great management, great location, and a great price. They even do the little things that elevate them to the next level, like bring in food trucks, provide valet trash pick-up, and have several waste-stations for dogs.

The Belmont

Nice and Quiet complex. Close to good schools, the zoo, the museums and downtown. Also close to the Medical Center. Office staff is nice and the gym and pool are pretty and well maintained.

Superb Management

I lived at the Belmont when I first arrived in Houston. Though it was a pleasant experience, I needed to move for reasons unrelated to the complex. Right before I was scheduled to move out, the parking structure leaked some corrosive material on to my car (likely due to the hurricane) and damaged the paint. I was a little worried about this issue given that I was no longer going to live there and could not afford a paint job. I spoke to the manager, Trevor, about this issue and I cannot express enough how helpful he was. Over the course of several months (even while I was no longer a resident), Trevor exchanged upwards to 20 emails with me, always responding with the utmost patience and courtesy to my concerns. My experience at Belmont was already quite good, but thanks to Trevor's assistance with my car I can fully recommend the Belmont as an exceptional place to live.

Great Home

The Belmont was a wonderful place to live. Friendly management and maintenance kept the place running smoothly. During the Hurricane, we were high and dry, with water, electricity, and internet which was a huge help for my pregnant wife and let me work remotely. The rooms are spacious and upscale, especially with the recent renovations. The HEB next door can be accessed with a gate and is super convenient when you need a quick meal or run low on milk. Its also in easy driving distance to the Medical Center and Rice Village. Also, a Metro Bus right outside give easy access to downtown. Highly recommend for location and quality.

Management lacking

I have lived here over 4 years and have seen 3 different managers during this time. With every passing turn, I feel like it gets a little less satisfactory. Slow to reply to issues on property and to reply to tenant concerns via email or in person. There’s a break-in either to apartment or car 1-2 times/year but overall I feel safe. The first year here I was told there was recycling but witnessed my recycling bags being thrown in the trash. Other than those things the actual maintenance staff is excellent and very kind, the apartment itself is comfortable, and the location is great. I also like that it isn’t modernized and doesn’t feel like a hotel.
